Happy New Year!

Well, I hope you all had a wonderful 2008. I'm excited to see what God has in store for us in 2009. We rang in the new year was some very good friends. The kids all did terrific and stayed up until past 1 a.m. They thought they were pretty big stuff. :)
Our table of party food...there definitely was not a shortage!
Karen, Jody, Shawna, Madelyn, Erica & myself...Bethany opted to stay out of this picture
Erica riding the RED tractor - Daddy would be very proud!
Uncle Jason helping Bethany bowl on the Wii

Jaren bowling...he got a strike the first time. His comment was "I should have asked for a Wii for my birthday and Christmas." :)

Yesterday found us having our last party of the season. We began with a bridal shower for my cousin Sarah. Bethany is privileged to be the flower girl at the wedding. The bridal shower was followed by our VanMersbergen Christmas gathering. We had a lot of fun playing games (thanks to all of the good sports out there that humored me). :) And of course the food was in great abundance. Bethany got to have plenty of Uncle Howard time. Uncle Howard lives in Michigan so when he's around Bethany doesn't let him out of her sight. I think Joel ranks a close second with Bethany.

Mr. Drew eating a slow poke...who would have given him such a treat?!? :)

Aunt Arlene giving some "advice" to the innocent little girls.

Bethany & Aunt Myra enjoying some "wedding talk"

Bethany & Reagan got to help Sarah open her shower gifts. They made sure no time was wasted.

Reagan showing us how her slow poke sticks in her mouth. :)

Enjoying one last round of food before the clean-up began. Everyone was relaxing after a rousing game of Bunco. :)
